The FCRA Division, Ministry of Home Affairs, issued a Press Notice on 8th November, 2024 (attached), detailing the reasons for refusal or denial of registration and renewal applications under FCRA. Existing FCRA-registered organisations should treat this as a compliance checklist to ensure timely renewal.
In cases of denial of registration or renewal, an appeal for revision of the order must be made online to the FCRA Division, Ministry of Home Affairs, within one year of the communication of the order, as per Section 32 of FCRA. The appeal requires payment of the prescribed fee.
